Opportunity
This 13-week Data Science internship program is a combination of pre-placement training and hands-on work experience. We work closely with our industry partners to identify recruitment needs so that we can devise a work-integrated training curriculum to fill these gaps. Through our internship programs, students are able to spend time within our partner organisations, learning best practices, specific skills and tools, as well as assimilating to company culture.
The Data Science program is available on-premise, remotely, or a combination of both.

Internship Responsibilities/Duties - Junior Data Analyst
The ideal candidate will use their passion for big data and analytics to provide insights to the business covering a range of topics. They will be responsible for conducting both recurring and ad hoc analysis. Working closely with the Project Manager, this position is responsible for developing and supporting reports, machine learning algorithms, ETL scripts, and data models. Work in a team environment and continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
Responsibilities
Cross-functional project collaboration on data science deliverables as needed
Document various aspects of the project progress
Analyse data and datasets
Assist in developing modelling and prototype creation
Develop a generic and unified framework and models including: Reports, Machine Learning Algorithms, ETL scripts, Data models
Requirements
To qualify for our internship program, you are expected to have a fundamental knowledge of machine learning algorithms, ETL scripts, and data models. You might be required to complete pre-requisite tutorials and training as part of the program (course fee applies).
Training Details
Data Science Foundations training course
Learn about the key tools, platforms and functions that you will need to work in the data science field, in positions such as a data analyst.
On successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Implement machine learning algorithms in python
Design relational databases and use SQL statements in any database management system
Provide visualised reports using data analytic tools.
